PROFILE

Selecting "Profile" enters the sub-area in which it’s possible to define the Profiles.

These constitute another automation tool, along with Actions and Sequences, they can be performed independently or in combination with them.

A Profile may trigger "GEN" Actions with high priority or be executed by "GEN" Actions possibly included in a Sequence.

Depending on the style and the needs of automation, the Profiles, Actions and Sequences can be combined with various architectures (advanced function).

The main peculiarity of the Profiles is the editor that allows you to define them as a table with graphical evidence of the temporal dynamics: it’s sufficient to fix the points and the durations of the steps to have the ramps and the waiting automatically.

In this image we see the editor settings of the Profiles:

    • each step begins with a line and ends with the next, so (apart from the first and last) each line is both the beginning of a step and the end of the previous
    • the Profile has a single time base without limits of duration and detail
    • the "A" and "B" channels are the special ones configured in "Setting", with the relative modes on the side that determine in which unit the numbers defined in the steps are to be considered
    • a line left blank means that the value written previously must be maintained, otherwise linear ramps of the duration of the step are performed
    • in one step it’s possible to:

                   - manage the way to save the next step

                   - trigger a "GEN" action with high priority at its beginning (the step waits for the Action to end                          even if its time has elapsed)

                   - load an Alarm configuration in addition to constructing the default configuration

    •  further 10 logical output channels are also selectable (by means of a "?" Character) and the temporal dynamics of which are synchronous at the basis of the univocal times of the Profile can be configured
    • the Profile is saved as a text file (ASCII) printouts ("TAB") so it can also be managed with other editors provided that the structure is respected

Using "RT", the Profile is converted into a format suitable for execution in Real Time devices (advanced function); the name of the Profile must begin with a number followed by the character "_" ("underscore").

There is no link between setting a logical channel in an Alarm configuration with its possible pairing to a Timer.

In this image you can see the converted profile and you can transfer it (via FTP) to the Real-Time device (advanced function).
